Örgenbauernalm
For all those seeking quiet and authenticity, this is definitely the right place.
From the main Pinzgau highway between Saalfelden and Maishofen (across from Hotel Club la Costa), a lane branches off to the right and leads to the Sausteige. After a hike of ca. 90 min. you will be greeted by a charming, rustic alpine hut with a gorgeous view of the valley basin. From here, everything lies right there before your eyes. This hut can be reached easily, even if you are pushing along a pram. Half way there, experienced hikers have the option to take a different, clearly posted pathway.
Your host at the hut, Kathi, will pamper you with culinary treats such as homemade bread, bacon, salted and smoked beef, sausage, cheese dumplings, cake, and much more.
Every Saturday, you can enjoy tasty “Pinzgau Bladl’n” at the Örgenbauernalm. By advance order, they serve delicious beef from their own organic farm off the grill as well as cheese noodles.
The Hörl family looks forward to seeing you!!!
