Via ferrata climbs

On the Steinernes Meer massif, there are many via ferrata climbs. Via ferratas are either entirely or mostly secured with steel cables and with iron hand- and footholds. These paths lead over ridges and through rock faces, which are usually found in alpine terrain. Climbers must take into consideration the height and length of the climb, weather conditions, and other alpine variables.
